In Years 1 and 2, pupils have opportunities to explore a range of materials, techniques and artistic styles. Children develop their creativity through drawing, painting, printing, sculpture and craft activities while learning about the work of significant artists. Through practical, hands-on experiences, pupils build confidence in expressing their ideas, experimenting with different media and reflecting on their own artwork.
