Headteacher's Welcome
It is my absolute pleasure to welcome you and your family to Brimscombe CofE (VA) Primary School. Whether you are joining us for the first time or are already part of our wonderful school community, I am delighted to have the opportunity to share with you what makes our school such a special place.
At the heart of everything we do is our school vision: 'Let love and kindness be the motivation behind everything you do.' This simple yet powerful statement guides our daily work with children, shaping how we teach, how we interact, and how we support every member of our school family.
Our vision comes to life through our five core values:
- Kindness – We encourage children to show compassion and care for others, creating a warm and supportive environment where everyone feels valued
- Courage – We inspire children to be brave, to try new things, and to persevere when faced with challenges
- Respect – We teach children to value themselves, others, and the world around them
- Responsibility – We help children understand the importance of taking ownership of their actions and making positive choices
- Friendship – We foster strong, supportive relationships that help children feel they belong and can thrive
These values are woven into every aspect of school life – from our curriculum and assemblies to how we celebrate achievements and address challenges. We believe that by nurturing these qualities alongside academic excellence, we are preparing children not just for the next stage of their education, but for life.
As a Church of England school, our Christian foundation enriches our ethos and provides a strong moral framework. We welcome families of all faiths and none, united by our shared commitment to love, kindness, and respect. Our close links with the local church and our regular collective worship help children explore important questions about values, community, and what it means to live well together.
Your involvement in your child's education makes a real difference. We warmly encourage you to engage with school life – whether that's supporting learning at home, attending events, or simply keeping in touch with your child's teacher. Our door is always open, and we welcome your questions, ideas, and feedback.
I look forward to getting to know you and your family, and to working together to ensure your child has a wonderful experience at Brimscombe. Together, with love and kindness as our motivation, we will help every child flourish.
Mrs. Nicola Brown
