We used our outdoor time to enjoy a music lesson.
It was sunny on Muddy Monday afternoon so we thought why not enjoy the sun with some music. We each chose a musical instrument and took it to our outdoor classroom. We named them and each had a go at playing them. Then we listened to the sound each one makes and our challenge was to use the natural material we could find on the field and in the woods to re-create that same sound. We spent lots of time listening and reflecting to make the sound as close as possible to the original. We listened to each others and built on their ideas. Then we had some free time to play the instruments, some of us sang songs we hear on the radio and played the guitar to match it.
