Times Table Bop!
The children used their bodies to help them remember the 4x table!
In an effort to get our times tables to stick in our heads, the children came up with actions to helpe them remember the order of the 4x table.
They worked in their talk partners and had to assign a part of the body to each calculation in the 4x table. Then they had to keep repeating it along with the actions and see how fast they could go. The real challenge came when I ask them to quiz each other of different question to see if they could remember it out of sequence!
