Cassiopeia Class Worship
Yesterday, we ran collective worship for the whole school. In RE this term, we have been learning about the bible and why it is so important to Christians all over the world. For this reason, we decided to do our worship about the bible; however, we also described how Easter is celebrated in many different countries all over the world.
The rest of the school were brilliant at listening to what we had to say and had some fantastic answers to many of our questions about the bible. We had a great time doing this and can't wait until the next class worship!
In Poland, they decorate eggs called Pisanki.
In Scotland, they have egg rolling competitions; this symbolises the moving of the stone from Jesus' tomb.
In Germany, they decorate trees with different coloured eggs.
In Spain, girls decorate palm leaves and bring them to church on Palm Sunday. Boys bang drums during street processions.
