Hands on History
Pupils in Cassiopeia had a brilliant talk by Ann Taylor from Stroud Museums who had kindly brought with her real Stone Age and Bronze Age artefacts. She shared her passion for HIstory and the pupils had the opportunity to handle real flint tools made more than 5.000 years ago! Who had made them? Who owned them? It was fascinating to consider who had held these stone tools all those years ago.
They learnt about different periods of the stone age and what the different tools were used for and where they were found. She left the children with a map of archeological sites in Gloucestershire the children could explore themselves.
