    Geography- Learning about the equator

    Kingfisher class have been learning about the Equator in Geography. In their first lesson they used atlases to locate countries on the Equator, found these locations on blank maps and then investigated the climate using Google Earth. Great work!

    Local nature walk

    This week Kingfisher class went out on a local walk to survey the local living organisms in the area. They then classified them when they got back to school. They've worked really hard in this unit of Science- well done!

    Writing-Creating character profiles

    Kingfisher class created character profiles based on a character from their class book Aarti and the Blue Gods. They used language from the text to replicate the characters and then wrote some wonderful descriptive paragraphs!

    Netball Champions!

    The Year 4 pupils took part in the Stroud small schools netball event this week and won the competition! The team played with amazing skill, commitment and enthusiasm and after winning all group games defeated Callowell school 3-1 in the final! Well done all!

    Science-Grouping living organisms.

    As part of their unit 'All Living things' the pupils used Venn and Carroll diagrams to group organisms depending on specific criteria. There was lots of interesting discussion and debate! Well done all!
