    Kingfisher class have been learning about Passover. They story mapped the story of Moses leading the Israellites out of Egypt and learnt about why the festival is called the 'Passover.'

    Fun in the Spring sun

    Great fun outdoor learning today in the sun. Habitats for wildlife, path building, willow weaving and outdoor sketching. Not to mention a massive Kingfisher team effort carrying up the wood chippings from th car park. Great effort everyone!

    Kingfisher class were challenged to make equivalent fractions using outside resources. They came up with some innovative and accurate results!

    Pizza fractions

    Some of our children used pizzas as part of their equivalent fractions learning today. They used pizza slices to represent halves and quarters. Great work all!

    Kingfisher class have started learning about equivalent fractions in Maths this week. Today, they used fraction walls and other resources to solve a range of fluency, reasoning and problem-solving challenges.

    World book day!

    Kingfisher class looked brilliant today as they came to school dressed as some of their favourite book characters. They then took part in some 'buddy reading' with the older children and finished off the day with a book swap!

    Outdoor learning- Pancake day!

    To celebrate pancake day we cooked pancakes on an open fire and then sat and ate them together! They were delicious!

    Textiles & stitching

    Today we began our sewing project practising running stitch, blanket stitch and cross stitch.  After the tricky business of threading the needles pupils made great progress experimenting with designs and stitching fabric.
