This year, the brilliant Joesph Coelho led a session at the Sub rooms in Stroud and talked to us about different types of poetry from his book 'Poetry Prompts'. The children learnt about 'abecedarius' poems (alphabet poems) and also 'moreraps' poems, which use different literary features (metaphors, onomatopoeia, rhyme, emotion, repetition, alliteration, personification and simile) to make great writing. 

This was followed by Maz Evans who wrote the books 'Who let the Gods out' and 'Oh Maya God' and we thoroughly enjoyed listening to her talk about her books and reading extracts to us. 

What an amazing morning and we were inspired!
