    PSHE- Respect

    Kingfisher class have been learning about the importance of respect. They were challenged to respectfully work in groups and create fun games. The results were fantastic!

    DT electric vehicles

    Our electric vehicles are coming together nicely. Lots of sawing and gluing in Kingfisher class this morning. The pupils connected up the motors and pulley and most of our vehicles of the future are working! Great teamwork and problem-solving.

    Outdoor learning

    The children created dens similar to that which mythical creatures might have lived in. They then wrote some fantastic sentences linked to our English book- Beowulf.

    Science concept cartoons

    The children are learning about plants in Science this half term. They used concept cartoons to highlight previous knowledge and skills and were also able to identify concepts they were not yet sure of. Great work!

    Paint a picture week

    Kingfisher class were learning about the Norweigian artist Edvard Munch and produced some fantastic artwork in his unique style. They also compared the UK to his native homeland of Norway.

    Today we had a look at some of David Hockney's landscape paintings of the Yorkshire wolds.  We looked at the colours he uses and the way he uses patterns in his paintings. We had a little go ourselves at mixing the colours.
