Today Aquila class were visited by 'Hrothgar' the Viking warrior. Hrothgar had set up camp in the hall and, in full armour, stormed into Aquila class to begin a briliant day of learning about life in Viking times. 

He showed the children all sorts of artefacts and explained how the Vikings used to live. The children had the chance to be in a shield wall and to handle some of the swords, axes and armour. 

Aquila children looked amazing in their Viking costumes, as did the staff who had decided to dress up too.

A brilliant way to learn about History and a big 'Þakka fyrir'  ( thank you) to FOBS for supporting ther event.
