We have recently created a new Pupil Eco Council which consists of 10 children from Years 2-6.  The children on the council are all dedicated and enthusiastic to promote the school as a serious eco environment and Mr Poyser is assisting them in achieving their goal.  

After their first meeting the council have come up with a complete Action Plan.  Already they have got off to an excellent start and after inspection of the school facilities used by the children, they have agreed the use of electricity and water can be reduced and the awareness of the recycling within the school must be encouraged. Their plan is to make sure the following takes place:

• The Eco Council will create posters to help children save energy in the children's loos and classrooms.
• The Eco Council to check lights and taps are switched off.
• The Eco Council to put any paper on the floor in the recycling bins.

Again, their recommendations will be forwarded to the Governing Body, if deemed necessary and will always be listened to and actioned where possible.  FOBS will also be included.
