Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
In our Early Years Foundation Stage, we provide children with a warm, nurturing and ambitious start to school, where strong relationships and carefully planned experiences help every child to feel safe, valued and ready to learn.
Our curriculum is built around the seven areas of learning: communication and language, physical development, personal, social and emotional development, literacy, mathematics, understanding the world, and expressive arts and design.
We use a balanced approach, shaped by the EYFS and the principles set out in Ofsted's Strong Foundations, combining play, adult modelling, high-quality interactions, explicit teaching and well-planned adult-guided learning so that children build secure knowledge and skills over time. We place a strong emphasis on talk, early language, practice and repetition, helping children to grow in confidence, curiosity and independence as they begin their journey through school.
