Pupil Council
Our pupil council is alive and well! Our representatives from each class are democratically voted for following their individual campaign within the form. Co-opted members of the pupil council are selected by the class teacher. Elections take place at the beginning of each academic year.
"As School Councillors, we discuss ways to make the school better. We have two meetings every term to discuss what to ask our classmates. Then, we listen to our classmates for sensible, logical ideas to help improve our school. After that, we tell Mr Griffiths (PSHE lead) who tells Mrs Brown who then asks the Governors to approve or disapprove. Then, if they approve, we get FOBS to see if we have enough money - if not, we do fundraisers.
`Here is what we have done; as an example:
-
For pupils' birthdays, they are allowed to wear non-school uniform.
-
Also, every class will come up with a different tradition that they do when it's their birthday."
