Brimscombe CE Primary School was founded in 1840 to provide the children of the parish with a Christian education and we are proud to carry on that tradition today.
During 2016-17, as a whole school community, we identified a smaller number of 5 Core Christian Values which we feel represent the distinctive Christian ethos of our school.
As a school community we focus on one of these values each term. Children consider the meaning of each Value, learn about famous Christians, and hear stories from the Bible and from other religions which demonstrate that Value. The 5 core values are:
Alongside our Christian Values, children are also taught British Values as part of their spiritual, moral, social and cultural education.
Every school must promote the British values of democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty, and mutual respect and tolerance for those of different faiths or beliefs. We intend our pupils to become valuable, well-rounded individuals who are well prepared for life in modern Britain.
Through British Values pupils are expected to learn about the following:
- Rule of Law
- Individual Liberty
- Mutual Respect
- Tolerance of those of different faiths or beliefs
